 NCAL's Guiding Principles

NCAL developed the Guiding Principles as an informational resource to generally describe what assisted living is and some of the ways that the assisted living profession is striving to continue developing and improving services. Members of the media may consult these documents and copy the content with attribution.

Please note: The contents of the Guiding Principles may represent some preferred practices, but do not represent minimum standards, “standards of care,” or industry-wide norms for assisted living communities.
