2018 NFP Trustee of the Year & Program of the Year Award Recipients

The AHCA/NCAL Trustee of the Year award was presented in San Deigo to Steven Craig from Chaparral House in Berkeley, Calif. The award recognizes a trustee who demonstrates several key attributes, including a commitment to faithfully executing the functions of the board, fostering effective board practices, showing a passion toward the organization’s mission, and, lastly, being willing to devote the time and energy necessary to be successful.

The NFP Program of the Year was awarded to Exceptional Care for Children Magical Journey in Newark, DE. The Not for Profit Program of the Year award highlights a specific program that adds value to the care of individuals within a community. Since 2011, Exceptional Care for Children and their Magical Journey field trip program has sent 27 pediatric residents and nearly 100 accompanying staff members to Walt Disney World for very special, once-in-a-lifetime adventures. Watch the story of their inaugural Magical Journey trip here.

If you would like to submit an applicant for the 2019 NFP Trustee of the Year or Program of the Year, please contact AHCA’s Dana Halvorson.
